What We Do

Providing understanding, practical support and specialist guidance to help individuals, families and professionals navigate the challenges of hoarding.

At Holistic Hoarding, we provide compassionate, specialist support for people experiencing hoarding difficulties, as well as guidance and training for the professionals who support them.

Our approach was shaped by seeing first-hand how traditional house clearances can sometimes increase distress and anxiety. When possessions are removed without addressing the underlying difficulties, this can leave people feeling overwhelmed and may contribute to further hoarding behaviours. We believe that meaningful change starts with understanding, trust and support.

Our services are designed to look beyond the physical clutter and consider the individual as a whole. We provide one-to-one support, monthly support groups, professional training, and consultancy, helping people and practitioners develop a better understanding of hoarding and the challenges it can present.

We are proud to work in partnership with Caerphilly County Borough Council, Newport City Council, Monmouthshire County Council and Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council, helping to make specialist hoarding support accessible to people across these areas.

We also work with the University of South Wales and Cardiff University on research and projects relating to Hoarding Disorder and the development of effective support. Through our Clutter Buddies partnership, psychology students can gain valuable placement experience working alongside our team and clients, helping to develop future understanding and expertise within the field.

Whether you are looking for support for yourself, helping someone you know, or working with people affected by hoarding, our services are designed to provide understanding, practical guidance and a compassionate approach.
